Baxter's Beach ocean outfall accommodates three wastewater treatment plants (Wonthaggi, Cape Paterson, and Inverloch) and serves the area of Inverloch, Cape Paterson, Wonthaggi, and North Wonthaggi. Approximately 3 ML of treated effluent is released daily to Bass Strait through an ocean outfall pipe located at Baxter's Beach, Victoria.
