Coniston Beach ocean outfall accommodates three wastewater treatment plants (Bellambi, Wollongong, and Port Kembla) and serves the areas of Wollongong, Dapto, and Port Kembla. Approximately 42000 KL per day of treated effluent is discharged to the ocean which is located one kilometre east of the treatment plant.
