Outfall

Malabar ocean outfall accommodates one wastewater treatment plant (Malabar) and serves the areas of South Eastern suburbs, Botany, Marrickville, Canada Bay, Auburn, Kogarah, Rockdale, Hurstville, Canterbury, and Bankstown. Approximately 498 ML per day of treated effluent is discharged to the Pacific Ocean through 720 m diffuser located 3.6 km off shoreline with 82 m depth.
