Newnham estuarine outfall accommodates one wastewater treatment plant (Newnham) and serves the area of Launceston northern suburbs (Mowbray, Mayfield, Rocherlea, and Newnham). Approximately 3.92 ML/day of treated effluent is discharged to the Tamar River via the Newnham Creek.
