Outfall

Pardoe ocean outfall accommodates two wastewater treatment plants (Pardoe and Latrobe) and serves the municipal areas of Devonport and Latrobe. Approximately 12 ML of treated effluent is discharged daily from Pardoe WWTP into the Bass Strait through a submerged ocean outfall pipe located 1.35 km off-shore of Pardoe wastewater treatment plant. A further 1.2 ML of treated effluent produced at Latrobe WWTP is also discharged via the Pardoe outfall in Bass Strasit.
