Outfall

Port Sorell estuarine outfall accommodates one wastewater treatment plant (Port Sorell) and serves the area of Port Sorell, Shearwater, and Hawley Beach. Approximately 900 KL of treated effluent is discharged daily into the Bass Strait through an off-shore outfall outlet pipe located 380 metres from the treatment plant.
