Potter Point ocean outfall accommodates one wastewater treatment plant (Cronulla) and serves the areas of Cronulla, Miranda, Caringbah, Sutherland, Menai, and Heathcote. Approximately 53 ML per day of treated effluent is discharged to the Pacific Ocean through submerged ocean outfall at Potter Point, Kurnell.
