Cabbage Tree Creek outfall accommodates one wastewater treatment plant (Sandgate), which serves the areas of Sandgate, Shorncliffe, Fitzgibbon, Brighton, Carseldine, Deagon, Taigum, Bald Hills, Aspley, Bridgeman Downs, and Bracken Ridge. Sandgate WWTP releases approximately 30 ML (dry weather) or 150 ML (wet weather) of treated sewage effluent to Cabbage Tree Creek at 1.2 km AMTD.
