Outfall

Woree outfall accommodates one wastewater treatment plant (Southern WWTP), which serves the area of Part Mt Sheridan, Part Whiterock, Westcourt, Bungalow, Portsmith to Fearnley St, Manunda, Manoora and suburbs in between. Approximately 19.4 ML of treated effluent is discharged daily through a 1:100 diffuser to Smiths Creek. The effluent is also partially recycled for Cairns Golf Club and on-site use.
