Outfall

Tingalpa Creek outfalls accommodates two wastewater treatment plants (Thorneside and Capalaba), which has two different outfall points. Thorneside WWTP serves the sewerage areas of Thorneside, Birkdale, Ormiston and Wellington Point. Approximately 12.75 ML (dry weather) or 37.5 ML (wet weather) of treated effluent is released daily via outfall pipe to Tingalpa Creek 1.3 km AMTD.
